^ nobuo nakagawa’s depiction of the mythical river sanzu, on the road to hell. seems a good sight more serene and tolerable than this 15th-century conception.

really enjoy the design on this grimy old robert louis stevenson hardback. i did a simplistic, lighting-speed little cleanup job to create a more usable graphic. i might make further improvements later, but at the moment i find the other imperfections add a certain charm.. definitely workin’ for me, anyway.
